NISSAN MICRA

The world will have its eyes on the 2010, when Nissan launches its Micra in March. Nissan hopes, this small car will twist its fortune around in India. The new Micra is not just an update version of older one, in fact it is going to be all new car,right down to its platform. The Micra will usher in what the Japanese manufacturer has chrisened the ‘V’ platform on which a wide array of models will be based.
Laden with compact dimensions to the light weight body, the new Micra will also be fitted with a brand new 3 cylinder engine that will not only be peppy and powerful, but extremely fuel efficient as well. They have spent a whole lot of effort to make this car suited to Indian conditions and judged by the commitment we have seen from the wonderful people at Nissan, we think it will py off just the way they want it to.

TOYOTA launching PRIUS in 2010?

Toyota is all set to unveil Toyota Prius hybrid in India at the 2010 Auto Expo in Delhi next January. The Prius is one of the world’s best known and also best selling hybrid passenger car and the version Toyota intends to sell in the country would be the latest generation model which was launched as recently as May 2009 in Japan and has also been a raging hit in this ecoconscious motoring mad nation.
The Prius hybrid will compete in the same segment which is seeing intense action with the likes of the Suzuki Swift and Ritz ranged against the Fiat Grande Puntos and the Tata Indica Vista, the Hyundai i20s and the Honda Jazz plus the range of high profile newcomers expected in the form of the Nissan Micra / March, the Volkswagen Polo and the Ford Figo.
FORD to introduce Ford Fiesta 1.6 ZXI Special Edition

The special edition Fiesta 1.6 ZXI will be the latest addition to the Ford cars in India. The Fiesta 1.6 ZXI will have apart from the leather seats include medium stone interiors, a premium cubic finish fascia, gearshift, parking brake and splashes of metallic trim. Royal Enfield’s Bullet Classic 350 & Bullet Classic 500

Royal Enfield launches thumper, the Bullet Classic. This bike has Enfield’s classic British motorcycle design and it also offers two engine options. The much familiar Thunderbird TwinSpark engine will be part of the Bullet Classic 350. This is expected to cost at Rs 98,000 in Delhi.
The second version Bullet Classic 500, will have Royal Enfield’s internationally available 500cc fuel-injected unit construction engine.
The Bullet Classic 500 is expected to be priced at Rs 1.24 lakh in Delhi.

Chevrolet Cruze hitting showrooms

The much awaited Chevrolet Cruze with a Rs 11 lakh price tag is now available in showrooms. Named as GM India’s latest midlevel sedan for India roads, the Chevrolet Cruze has been introduced at an aggressive price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh for the Cruze LT variant and Rs 12.45 lakh for the fully loaded LTZ variant, both prices ex-showroom Thane.
General Motors India has introduced the Cruze exclusively with the 2-litre diesel engine. The car also has a single 5-speed manual transmission option. The other Cruze advantages over its competition are the push-button start, all-alloys, standard ABS and an alltime Electronic Stability Program.
