Now per second billing plan from MTNL too

In reply to the Tata Teleservices, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications launching per second billing systems, here the state-run telecom service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) Tuesday announced per second billing plane for its 2G and 3G customers in the Delhi and Mumbai circles.

According to the new plan all calls made within the MTNL network will be charged half paisa per second, while calls to other networks across the country will be charged one paisa per second.

SMS rates have also been reduced to 25 paisa for local, Rs.1 for national and Rs.2.50 for international messages.

MTNL will also provide video calls across its 3G network for one paisa per second.

NSG commandos offered 26/11 terrorists, a chance to surrender

The National Security Guard (NSG) commandos handling the Taj and the Trident Hotels had told the terrorists that they would get a fair trial, but, “the terrorists refused and replied with bullets.”

The terrorists were cornered at Taj and Oberoi hotel.  J K Dutt, who was the chief of the National Security Guard, during 26/11, communicated with the terrorist directly through the hall voices resound and made an offer to surrender but the terrorists refused their offer . The terrorists replied with a string of abuses in Punjabi and other than that, there was shooting and hurling of grenades.

 

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in bollywood movie?

Yes!! The former president of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is all set act  in a Hindi movie titled ‘Mein Kalam Hoon’ (‘I am Kalam’).

The movie is produced by SMILE Foundation, set in Rajasthan. It tells about a young boy who is inspired by the former President and Kalam’s mantra ‘Great Dreams of Great Dreamers are always transcended.

 

Actor Gulshan Grover is also acting in this film. The movie will be directed by Madhav Pandeya.

Pakistan court has filed charges against the accused behind the Mumbai attacks.

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has finally declared Lashkar-e-Taiyba commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi,as the mastermind behind the Mumbai attack a day before its 26/11 anniversary.And the court formally charged seven men suspects, including Lakhvi, with planning and helping execute the Mumbai attacks.

 

The court also declared 16 people, as proclaimed offenders including the only surviving terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab. He was captured alive during the 26/11 strikes. And now he in Mumbai jail .The crew members of the two boats that ferried the 10 attackers to Mumbai are among them, sources said.

 

Anti-terrorism court Judge Malik Muhammad Akram Awan, who is conducting the trial at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi for security reasons, framed the chargesheet against Lakhvi, Zarar Shah, Abu al-Qama, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jamil Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younas Anjum.

 

Pakistan court was registered case against seven accused in February, but trial has moved slowly. Its last protest was voiced last week after India’s repeated frustration over the non seriousness of Pakistan in bringing to book the perpetrators of the 26/11 attacks.

 

The court also rejected the bail pleas of some of the accused. Their lawyers Shahbaz Rajput said all seven pleaded not guilty and alsi said that the charge taken against the accused were without any powerful evidence.

Taj Mahal is on terror alert

Uttar pradesh police has put Taj Mahal on high security following reports of terror threat from Lashkar-e-Toiba.

AK Jain, ADG law and order, said that security agencies like the Agra police, CISF and other agencies have been put on alert following an intelligence input over terror threat to the monument of love while refusing to elaborate on the input.

According to police sources, the move came after IB received inputs on possible terror attack to the monument on November 20 and 21. It was reported that David Coleman Headley, the LeT operative arrested by FBI for plotting terror attacks on India, had visited Agra.

26/11 Taj Mumbai humiliates guarding jawans

Maharashtra government and Taj hotel forced the jawans to spend night in the pavement. SRPF jawans guarding the Taj hotel were meted out shoddy treatment.

Jawans and their belongings were thrown out into the streets yesterday. No one from Taj authorities and Maharashtra government was available for comment when approached.

Maoists attacks and derails train in Jharkhand, 2 killed

2 passengers were killed and several others injured in the latest Maoist attack were eight bogies of the Tata-Bilaspur passenger train derailed. Maoist’s blew up the railway tracks on Thursday night in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district. Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said, that the five coaches have derailed and three toppled over as also the engine. She said two bodies were found in a overturned bogie and 47 passengers have got injured.

Compensation has been announced for the families of the deceased.

Mathura Train Collission: Atleast 10 feared killed and 50 injured

The Delhi bound Goa Express rammed into the stationary Mewar Express near Mathura on early hours of Wednesday approximately at 4.45 am. One coach damaged and two derailed.

An unreserved compartment of the Mewar Express got severely damaged. 10 people were killed in the accident and approximately 50 injured passengers are being treated at nearby hospitals at Mathura, Vrindhawan. Gas cutters ar being used to rescue the trapped passengers from the damaged bogey.

Medical teams has been dispatched to the accident site.

Northern Railway has cancelled the Agra Nizamuddin Inter-city Express and diverted a few other trains including the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express from Mumbai, the Andhra Pradesh Express and the Karnataka Express. They are being diverted via Tundla.

First H1N1 Swine Flu Death in India

14 year old Rida Sheikh from Pune succumbs to H1N1. This is the first fatality in India.

Reeda first showed the sympotoms in June and she attended the school till late July. Her parents are blaming Jehangir hospital for wrong diagnosis and treating for pneumonia.

Union Health Minister, Azad said that the private hospital diagnosed the H1N1 very late or else shw could have been saved. Jehangir hospital must look into the reasons into the death and share the details.

Channel 10: Use of Bar Dancers at Sourav’s


In a sting operation done by Channel 10 reporters, it has been found that SOURAV’s (Restaurant located at Park Street) were using dance shows to popularise the restaurant. All the girls used were fournd to be professional dancers.

The Manger said that it was just an inprompto jam session, but the videos clearly shows that it is more than just jam session.

The restaurant now appears to be in trouble as it doesn’t have any license for the bar dancers. This was being carried out from the 4th floor which is known as Prince of Calcutta.
