Taj Mahal is on terror alert
Uttar pradesh police has put Taj Mahal on high security following reports of terror threat from Lashkar-e-Toiba.
AK Jain, ADG law and order, said that security agencies like the Agra police, CISF and other agencies have been put on alert following an intelligence input over terror threat to the monument of love while refusing to elaborate on the input.
According to police sources, the move came after IB received inputs on possible terror attack to the monument on November 20 and 21. It was reported that David Coleman Headley, the LeT operative arrested by FBI for plotting terror attacks on India, had visited Agra.
